Madison Wisconsin is located in the central southern part of the
state. We're the home of the state capital and the University of
Wisconsin - Madison. As of the 2000 census, we have a population of
208,054, making us the second largest city in Wisconsin. We're also
the county seat of Dane County. Madison is alive
with metropolitan attractions. There are many excellent restaurants,
an active theater community, lots of music, and great shopping
venues. Yet Madison is just minutes from the beautiful rural
countryside, making it possible to enjoy dinner and a concert in the
city after spending the day communing with nature.
